In Authentic Stories, a video footage is dubbed with three sets of subtitles that form completely different narratives. By choosing a language that few people would understand— Taiwanese— I intend to make the viewer dependent solely on subtitles to understand the story, through which translation or mediation in all kinds of communication process is highlighted.
